Yes, you can. When you see the book you want in the library catalog, look for the Request link. When you click it, you'll be asked to log in with your KU card number and your last name. From there you'll be able to place your hold and reserve the book.

The person who currently has it will not be able to renew the loan, and you'll be notified when the book is returned. In cases where a KU staff member has something checked out for a long period of time, your request will trigger a recall and the borrower will need to return the item so that you can use it.
