If it's your own book, you can bring it to the main desk on your left as you enter the library. If it's a book we own, you can email the call number to or to along with the corresponding course number. Please tell us your preferred loan period (the span of time for which a student may keep the book). The choices are:

  • 7 days
  • 3 days
  • Overnight
  • In-library use only

You can also place book chapters, article copies, and other items you've copied or created on electronic reserve. Ereserves are available to your students via the library website and at

Ereserves are password protected. If you need the password, please call 610-683-4480. You mustn't publish the password on webpages, Desire2Learn, or handouts,.as this could expose KU (and you) to legal action from publishers concerned about violation of the fair use doctrine.

We can scan in materials submitted on 8½ x 11 white paper. Copies can be dropped off at the desk mentioned above, or mailed to Access Services; please specify the corresponding course number(s) with the start and end dates for ereserve availability.
